Whew....
At this point it looks like the 2006 football season should get off to a normal start in Louisiana, as Tropical Storm Ernesto has veered east from a path towards the state. The current path:

As the Advocate's Scott Rabalais notes, a normal football season (i.e. uninterrupted by hurricanes) is sorely needed in the region. Meanwhile, fingers crossed that Florida is able to avoid the worst.
