Lou Holtz is a moron

He was tolerable for a while, but I just want him gone now. Mark May is decent but Holtz just mumbles nonsense. After the OU Texas game, Holtz starts talking up Texas’ defense and how well they played. OU scored 35 points and Bradford passed for 5 tds and almost 400 yards.

Plus he always hates on LSU. I cant remember the last time Holtz (or Chris Fowler) were high on LSU.

This looks awful.

When did we get Auburn’s offense?

i like harry coleman. he’s one of the few out there playing with any heart.

I think we are settling down a little. a little.

Where is the running game?

But, beyond that, where’s the urgency? On defense, the guys are flying around, but it’s a really undisciplined flying around. Stunned.

I dont know. We are so flat. I dont know if they are confused or intimidated or what?

How did we spend our bye week,

hangin’ with Snoop Dog or something? We haven’t looked ready to play all night. We are lucky it’s only 20-0 right now, it’s actually still within reach. But I agree, we’ve got to find our running game.

There is no panic in this team

We are absolutely not out of this. The defense stiffened in the 2nd quarter and held Florida to a field goal. The offense settled down and started moving the ball. We get it first in the second half, and some points there will make this a whole new ball game.

I agree that we're not out of it,

as I was saying earlier, when it was 20-0 it was still within reach. Still think we need to run the ball, but Lee was impressive (very poised) on that last drive.

One thing I don't get though

is how can we get that delay penalty and then they review the call? Is it because we didn’t actually snap the ball? It worked out just fine, so I guess it’s moot.

A DESERVED OUTCOM

LSU deserved EVERY SINGLE A$$ kicking that it got from the Gators tonight! They played like Losers, coached like Losers, Ran like Losers, Dropped passes like Losers, Passed like Losers, Special teamed like Losers and scored like Losers. And also what’s this crap of taking your sweet A$$ time while the clock is running down and then when it gets to the last :30 of the game you hussle and try to make a play?! what a bunch of idiots! But then again this is LSU style football do good up until a game where you have a chance to be #1….and then LOSE the fricken game! Keep playing like this and the game cocks are going to peck you right out of the NC game.

You sound a lot like the guys the I had to sit by in 2003

who couldn’t be satisfied with anything. It was a bad night. Everyone has one. We were playing a very good team on the road and we didn’t bring out A-game. That’s not an LSU-thing. That’s a college-football-thing.

Im irritated about the game too, but the Tigers have been anything but perennial failures. If anything, we have not been blown out badly or lost to a horrible team in a very long time. Last night was a weird feeling. Id say we’re one of the better teams in the nation in terms of consistency. But you’re right, LSU did not play up to their potential.

We got beat on bad, but I dont think the score is more than 40-21 if we didnt keep going for it on 4th down. Not that thats much of a consolation, but to a bigger point, Im glad we did go for it even if it didnt work. Miles and this team never quit on the game. If he wanted to save face he would have punted and tried to minimize the style damage. Not this guy. He was still trying to win.

We just didn't look ready to play. Maybe that's a coaching issue.

I’m not throwing Miles under the bus, but with a bye week, I expect a lot better than what we saw tonight. Two somewhat nice drives, but no running game. And shambles on defense. A lot of times our guys looked more ready to talk trash than back it up. Just showing up like that can maybe get us past Miss St at home, but not many others, especially not Florida (and not on the road).

our DCs weren't ready

Les was too loyal to his coordinators. We should have hired a veteran DC. We are grossly under utilizing our talent. Our D always looks confused and doesn’t even have proper fundamentals (can’t tackle). We never blitz, and if an opposing o-line knows the same 4 guys will rush in the same paths, it makes it really easy to stop.

Our O was slightly anemic, but it was to be expected, but our D … that’s the big problem, and the one that has me most worried.

was thinking the same thing

urban meyer just took our dc’s to school. I dont think Miles was out coached, but our DC’s sure were. they had 265 yards rushing.
