I'll be watching on espn360.com
which is great, because it is included in my internet service at no extra charge, but I will be about a minute behind the game.

Anyone got an online radio feed of this game?
WWL seems to broadcasting some interview about real estate development.

I've been able to get every game so far this year
via one online stream or another. Not tonight. Maybe the rescheduling of this game has something to do with it.

This Ain't Fun
Gentlemen,
Again I find myself watching the game through the eyes of Jim Hawthorne. And, in trying to find a better radio signal, I almost missed the first drive by Troy. For those who are watching, is the team as flat as they sound or has Troy found the (well publicized) secret to giving us fits. Short passes that we give too much cushion to…
I don't think the defense was flat
troy just put together a nice drive.

88 yard drive for the men of Troy
So that’s nice

Now this is getting ridiculous
Richard,
I withdraw my previous comment and am beginning to be nervous about this game. Hopefully, adjustments will be made before the game gets totally out of hand.
Our defense really needs to play a lot better.

Not over yet by far …. but this is ridiculous.
Embarrassing! 17-3 now.
I apologize on behalf of myself, the Tigers and the great state of Louisiana.
Allons le Tigres!!!!
When we get the ball again
The next half dozen plays should be Scott running behind Johnson. It’s the only thing that had been working. Everything else has been so bad, we’ve been giving ineptitude a bad name.
As bad as things are..
I think one good scoring drive could turn things around.

Richard Pittman
by Richard Pittman on Nov 15, 2008 8:18 PM CST reply actions
yep
if Les continues to put his faith in this pansy who intentionally grounds balls to keep his jersey from getting dirty, we will see a repeat of this hideous season again in ‘09……sorry if no one likes the truth….this guy is a horrible football player and I will bet my life as a Tigers fan that he won’t get any better before next season. I am so disappointed about this season after such a great one last year. Boy I miss Dorsey, Hester, Flynn and the rest of those guys.

Actually, he has a completion

Our line is playing terrible
Richard Pittman
by Richard Pittman on Nov 15, 2008 8:22 PM CST reply actions
Who is not playing terrible. Of course, as Jim Hawthorne says, the D now has stopped Troy
4 times, but the O is not taking advantage.
So we hung in there with the number one team in the nation
until the bitter end. And tonight we look like a HS team.
Okay…. breathe. We are a second half team. This is not over at all.
I could swear the tigervision guy keeps saying "George Jefferson"

CBS Sportsline GameCenter ...
has Jordan Jefferson with 0 completions and 5 attempts.
Someone has something different?
Dalfry – 0 completions / 1 attempt
Lee – 3 cm / 10 att – 16 yds - 1 INT (for TD)
Um, looks like I might have to suit up. I’m only 38 and a bit overweight. I cannot do any worse.
Jefferson definitely has a completion
He completed a screen pass on his first attempt

Richard Pittman
by Richard Pittman on Nov 15, 2008 9:09 PM CST reply actions
Their QB is going to be in the Heisman race after tonight.
The clock is about to be as big a problem as Troy’s offense, however.
How do we come back from this?
Even if our defense can stop the bleeding, we don’t have the offense to catch up now.
Our season is somewhat reminiscent of Bama's last year
Lost a heartbreaker to a good team, then flat the next week..

And ULM just got their tail handed to them by Ole Miss
I’m wondering what Ole Miss will do to us now. No. No.
Not thinking about that now.
and we need to play a more aggressive game on defense
At least it would bring spirit to the game.

This proves our DC's...
Do not understand how to stop a spread scheme. Because, Troy’s players are not faster.
This should be all that Miles needs to fire them, and if he doesn’t I can’t argue with anyone who calls him a moron anymore.
Epitome of our problems
On that 3rd and 3, there was an undisguised blitz from the right side of the line, and no one even tried to pick him up.
Richard Pittman
by Richard Pittman on Nov 15, 2008 9:20 PM CST reply actions
It's a good thing we are already bowl eligable...
Because we won’t win another game, these guys have given up on the season.
My two yr-old just asked me: "Daddy, what's wrong?"
Thank goodness she can still bring a smile to my face.
Lee is really best at the deep balls. I don't know why they keep asking him to throw screens
Richard Pittman

Accentuate the Positive
I was always told to accentuate the positive (Mary Poppins style) so here I go:
(Sorry, I’m still looking for it!)
What is most sickening
is that we have been getting good field position (thanks to their kickoffs), and can’t do anything with it. Oops, thanks for the penalty.
we're failing in all respects
Offense, defense, special teams, coaching.. I don’t like the offensive playcalling on that possession. It’s like they don’t realize we’re behind by 28.
Richard Pittman
by Richard Pittman on Nov 15, 2008 9:24 PM CST reply actions
Lee is really at his best throwing deep and intermediate passes..
and lo and behold, we pretty much need to throw down the field now.
Richard Pittman
by Richard Pittman on Nov 15, 2008 9:26 PM CST reply actions
The fact that we aren't going hurry up...
Really looks like the coaches aren’t trying to win the game.
This clock is going to drain quick
Richard Pittman

We should get the ball a number of times.
Richard Pittman
by Richard Pittman on Nov 15, 2008 9:33 PM CST reply actions
Yes.
It was nice to get a little drive there, but we have to score quickly from here out.
Richard Pittman
by Richard Pittman on Nov 15, 2008 9:34 PM CST up reply actions

which means we have to play more aggressively
Richard Pittman

but the run has failed utterly for most of the game.

Richard Pittman
by Richard Pittman on Nov 15, 2008 9:45 PM CST reply actions

Richard Pittman
by Richard Pittman on Nov 15, 2008 9:45 PM CST reply actions

which I know is asking a lot, and we’re back in this.

Richard Pittman
by Richard Pittman on Nov 15, 2008 9:51 PM CST reply actions
Comments by Hawthorne and Moreau said they have never seen anyone like Lee who can look so bad and so great in the same game.
Now that we've opened up the deep game,
we can probably go with dump offs now too. They just weren’t working when we would not go deep at all.

Maybe the positive I'm trying to accentuate is the learning curve that Lee is climbing in the second half.
As I have quoted before, “Good judgement comes with experience and a lot experience comes from bad judgement” – Will Rogers
The Tigervision Color Man is a complete idiot
Scott’s knee went down at the 1 1/2, but he was clearly stretched forward to near the goal line, but he said more than once that the ball would be placed at the 1 1/2. He doesn’t have a basic grasp of the rules. Nor can he pronounce our 2nd string QB’s name

The largest second half bowl comeback was Texas Tech over Minnesota in the 2006 Insight Bowl. Red Raiders were down 38-7 with 7:47 to go in the third and won 44-41 in overtime. I don’t know if there’s a regular season game that tops it.

I'm convinced
it wasn’t the D that got us back into the game.
It was because I turned my jersey inside out. (lol)
No applause, please.
What's funny is...
I’m wearing an LSU baseball shirt, and I called my buddy up and he was watching the game at a bar, wearing the same shirt that he wore for the Bama game. We both went and changed shirts at halftime…

This game reminds me of
the South Carolina game. The main difference is that Troy executed better on offense in the first half than USC did, and we executed even worse on offense than we did vs. USC.
Richard, Can We Now Relax and not be so concerned.
I think so, and I agree, Lee should be OK the rest of the year. He really had hard lessons tonight but appeared to learn.
