GREAT tackle by Eugene
I was sure that was set for a gain of 15
I feel kinda sick about that
I mean, woo turnover and all, but just dumb luck for us that he decided to stretch it out so Chad could swat it out
that play was an encapsulation of LSU's season so far
right until the lucky break at the end.
They had Wilson twice and he somehow escaped to make a big play.

I Don't Mean To Get On A Rant Here
but at many levels it seems the basic things have been forgotten. What was the first thing you were told when you started playing football …. protect the darn football at all cost.
I said the same thing during Texas-Texas Tech
When Graham Harrell took that awful sack late in the 4th to knock them back 15 yards and result in a missed long FG…almost cost them the game.
I’m surprised how often I see veteran players (at all levels, as you say) forgetting these things lately.
I Just Don't Get It, I Mean The Thing I Was So Impressed
by the LSU team was until just two weeks ago the running backs had not lost a fumble in like 600+ carries. That is good coaching. And good coaching wins you a lot of football games.
Lee
Okay, over/under on the time into the game at which we have the (first) Lee pick-six?
It’s like the 2006 Saints, we gave up an 80 yard TD seemingly every game so by the end of the year the mantra just became “Let’s get it out of the way early so we have time to battle back from their momentum.” Better early than late.
Well, Lee has certainly been good at doing it early
What a picture of domestic tranquility... Hemlock on the hearth and my wife feeding the piranha.
Here we go, third and long
I can’t really complain about two handoffs to Scott right off the bat.
And there it is
Minus the six.
Lee tries that dangerous throw every damn time. That was just terrible.
Well, as I said...
…at least better early than late.
OK, We Got it out of the way...at least not a pick 6

Might as well have been
Although I suppose a little less momentum since it took them three plays.
Wonder if we’ll ever see the 2nd-half-at-Auburn Jarrett Lee.
This team just looks like it expects bad things to happen
What a picture of domestic tranquility... Hemlock on the hearth and my wife feeding the piranha.
Zero swagger
On the precipice of becoming Larry Coker’s post-title Miami squads. These are the times we learn how great the coaching staff really is.
Is it lack of swagger or lack of moxy or lack of presence?
I often get my intangibles confused
What a picture of domestic tranquility... Hemlock on the hearth and my wife feeding the piranha.
Off Topic, But I Never Thought I'd See A Year
where both Michigan and Tennessee would have losing seasons.
Have the students ever phone-blitzed a player who hasn't gone ahead to score a big touchdown?
What a picture of domestic tranquility... Hemlock on the hearth and my wife feeding the piranha.
Moreno as well, right?
What a picture of domestic tranquility... Hemlock on the hearth and my wife feeding the piranha.
try again!!
What a picture of domestic tranquility... Hemlock on the hearth and my wife feeding the piranha.
Lee can also do that
T-I G-E….
What a picture of domestic tranquility... Hemlock on the hearth and my wife feeding the piranha.
Yes It Is, I Don't Really Want To Start the Two QB Debate
but I feel he is our future. And I’d like to see him get all the snaps. A few years from now we’ll be a much better team for that happening.
I wish we could get Dickson more involved
Because I think his dependability would help Lee get more consistent. But I wonder whether the coaches will (understandably, no doubt) hesitate to give Lee that many options over the middle?
YES!!!!
What a picture of domestic tranquility... Hemlock on the hearth and my wife feeding the piranha.
Must score a touchdown here
What a picture of domestic tranquility... Hemlock on the hearth and my wife feeding the piranha.
Gotta have momentum, but more importantly, points
What a picture of domestic tranquility... Hemlock on the hearth and my wife feeding the piranha.
Pin your ears back, D
Now time to tee off on these bastards. Our D ought to know it CAN play with anyone in this country
Why was the hat so livid?
What a picture of domestic tranquility... Hemlock on the hearth and my wife feeding the piranha.
That Wilson throw to Jones
Is a throw Lee will be making in a year or two…just not now
Why Does Our Secondary Look Near Perfect
on one play and like they’ve never played football on the next?
they're fine when they're able to rely on their athleticism
but their technique is poor at times, especially, oddly, in tackling after the catch.
What a picture of domestic tranquility... Hemlock on the hearth and my wife feeding the piranha.
reminds me of the secondary the two seasons before the first NC team
I refuse to look the stats to back up that impression.
What a picture of domestic tranquility... Hemlock on the hearth and my wife feeding the piranha.
safety blitz
and sack wilson, make him roll out he throws picks when he does tht
Thank God They Got The Ball In His Hand On That Play
I would think the FL game should have shown us speed kills and to get the ball in his hands more on set plays.
What a bad throw
Does Lee not have the arm for a 30 yard rope?
I say that knowing that not many do
But that was really poor. Did he lose footing with his back foot on it?
great run, trindon
What a picture of domestic tranquility... Hemlock on the hearth and my wife feeding the piranha.
he's just confused about which large ass to follow

What a picture of domestic tranquility... Hemlock on the hearth and my wife feeding the piranha.
he continues to throw off his back foot
he needs to stop doing that. Even did it on the TD pass.
What a picture of domestic tranquility... Hemlock on the hearth and my wife feeding the piranha.
INT
Peterson, pick
What a picture of domestic tranquility... Hemlock on the hearth and my wife feeding the piranha.
3 turnovers in 15:07
Boy, this is really going our way right now
Score aside this is a really fun football game
The hits have been huge.
What a picture of domestic tranquility... Hemlock on the hearth and my wife feeding the piranha.
Every time Danielson calls this "Real Man Football"
I wonder what fans of other conferences are thinking.
I'd say the Big 12 is pretty stout
Though one could argue that they’re more finesse this year
Well I Am In The Middle Of Big Ten Country
and you see the power. What is different with the SEC is both power and speed.
I Tend To Agree w/ My Dad Here, When You Are Covering
a sporting event and you don’t have anything important to add shut the fu*k up.
I kind of like rambling Danielson
he’s the only person I can think of who’s verbosity doesn’t annoy me, or, at least, I can never stay mad at him.
What a picture of domestic tranquility... Hemlock on the hearth and my wife feeding the piranha.
I wish someone in LSU's biology department would have cloned LaRon Landry
What a picture of domestic tranquility... Hemlock on the hearth and my wife feeding the piranha.
Well I Am A HUGE Redskins Fan
and we’re happy we have him in the pros. He has made some mistakes in coverage, but he is still bringing the lumber.
NICE
Boy this crowd sounds half as loud during the day.
When I Was At LSU We Usually Tapped The Key Around 10 AM
for a night game. There just isn’t as much time to get “nice and ready” for a day game :).
I'm hoping for an 8 or 9 minute drive
What a picture of domestic tranquility... Hemlock on the hearth and my wife feeding the piranha.
Ugh, in that scenario you just want KW to just turn it upfield
Bama strung that out well
I hope Jones has crazy wiry strength
cuz otherwise LSU is just that bad at tackling
What a picture of domestic tranquility... Hemlock on the hearth and my wife feeding the piranha.
3 turnovers converted into 7 points
While this wasn’t a TO, we’ve just GOT to do something here. If Bama goes into the half down seven despite all those nasty breaks, Saban will have them coming out totally rejuvenated in the 3rd.
Points MUST Be Put On The Board
Karma is a bitch and it could easily turn the other way the rest of the game.
ideally
LSU gets points on this possession and gets a TD coming out in the second half
What a picture of domestic tranquility... Hemlock on the hearth and my wife feeding the piranha.
What a horrendous play call by Bama
What a picture of domestic tranquility... Hemlock on the hearth and my wife feeding the piranha.
It's like it's his superpower
What a picture of domestic tranquility... Hemlock on the hearth and my wife feeding the piranha.
Seriously
I have NEVER seen a green QB do it to this extent
We seem to be the only team in the country
With a penchant for turning positive breaks into points for the OTHER team.
If we don't get this out of his system now
Then it’ll be more of the same next year, and the year after, unless we just drop it and go to Jefferson soon.
Props to the fans though
For not booing mercilessly
no fucking kidding
What a picture of domestic tranquility... Hemlock on the hearth and my wife feeding the piranha.
Lee Has Got To Have Field Vision To Know , Unless The Hand Of God
came down there was no way he didn’t have that first down, even if he slid after getting it.
If we get the ball back here
Does Jefferson come in and hand it off 3 times?
I'd Say On A Scale Of 1-10 I Am Like A 2 On Pulling A Guy
or slamming a coach. But yes, Jefferson needs to come in.
I Just Don't Know How You Can Get To Less Than A Minute
in the first half and only thrown to your TE once. I mean I just can’t wrap my mind around that from a play calling point-of-view.
Let's at least show some urgency here
And try to score
Keiland!!
What a picture of domestic tranquility... Hemlock on the hearth and my wife feeding the piranha.
well, Lee is never boring
What a picture of domestic tranquility... Hemlock on the hearth and my wife feeding the piranha.
God, that was awfully close
To another pick six.
Did LaFell fall asleep on a frat's couch last night?
And get drawn on?
Indeed
At least it’s tough for a kicker to ever be in a position to make a stupid mistake, then
if you're going to throw screens in the middle, why not just run the damn ball
What a picture of domestic tranquility... Hemlock on the hearth and my wife feeding the piranha.
I knew it
that was a terrible spot for David.
Why the hell don’t you run the ball to the left middle hash?
What a picture of domestic tranquility... Hemlock on the hearth and my wife feeding the piranha.
As I posted at 2:08 PDT, my sense of calm has disappeared. I only hope that LSU can play their 2d half game and Alabama stays with their tendency to lay back in the 2d half.
Well At Least We Get The Ball To Start
Power run, power run, followed by power run. Burn the clock, beat them down, and put 6 on the board.
Problem is, Bama's usually up big at the half
They’ll come out firing on every cylinder. If we’re not set for a war (and we clearly weren’t in the 1st half) we will get steamrolled.
I take that back
The D and OL came to play. Hell, maybe everyone came to play but JL
Sunset's coming soon
At least we’ve got a night game for the 2nd half. Hope everyone smuggled in an extra large flask to keep things lubricated!
Anyone else getting the feeling that we've blown all our chances?
I’m not entirely convinced we haven’t, but this is one of those situations in which I wouldn’t be surprised by a quick Bama TD right out of the gates.
Well, there was a receiver in the vicinity
We’d be saying the same thing if we were in Bama’s shoes, no?
He does NOT give us the best chance to win at this point
His horrendous play is affecting everyone’s morale.
whats the worst that could happen. jordan jefferson throws a pick.
odds are good lee throws at least one more
We have ecome a two down football team
We’re in 3d and long and zero chance for a first b/c we’re just running draws.
Are we throwing in the towel on the damn season?
Can we find Perrilloux's coke dealer and eviscerate him?
What a picture of domestic tranquility... Hemlock on the hearth and my wife feeding the piranha.
Lee
I think the team has given up on him. I think he’s given up as well. It’s time for him to come out
This is ACC tackling
What a picture of domestic tranquility... Hemlock on the hearth and my wife feeding the piranha.
D
Frankly, I tip my hat b/c they’ve held their own thus far. There’s just so much you can expect out of them when at this point we can’t even expect a first down out of our gawdawful offense.
you can expect the secondary not to escort people out of bounds
when they’ve got 4 on 1 numbers
What a picture of domestic tranquility... Hemlock on the hearth and my wife feeding the piranha.
Look If Us Dudes/Gals On A Message Board Know We Are
a two down team, I am thinking the folks on the Bama sidelines know it as well. And of course that is not a good thing. I think we have to put JJ in. I see no other choice.
great play by lafell
What a picture of domestic tranquility... Hemlock on the hearth and my wife feeding the piranha.
I can't complain there
Mixing it up every now and then with him has worked
QJ
great call
What a picture of domestic tranquility... Hemlock on the hearth and my wife feeding the piranha.
Great throw and he drops it
What a picture of domestic tranquility... Hemlock on the hearth and my wife feeding the piranha.
Well
That might make it a tough catch for you and me but as a D-I wide receiver, if you get your hands on it without being fully extended – and he wasn’t – it’s on you to catch it.
Definitely
As long as it isn’t over the middle with anyone behind the guy, as Danielson is saying. That’s why I’m wondering if we’re so flaccid on O, why not just take a shot downfield more often. I love the play call, at least
patrick peterson is going to be beastly
What a picture of domestic tranquility... Hemlock on the hearth and my wife feeding the piranha.
God, it's just horrible
There is no point in letting him throw over the middle. How long do we stick with this? Why even waste a SINGLE attempt at it? Esp when the result is 3rd and 11?
Well I Would Say Us Here And The Announcers Have Figured
out Lee can throw outside the numbers, not so much between them.
non sequitor
I’ve never seen anyone post by capitalizing each word. It seems like it would be a pain in the ass.
What a picture of domestic tranquility... Hemlock on the hearth and my wife feeding the piranha.
somewhat ocd here, and it hurts not to cap each word here :)
also advertising guy, and we cap headlines.

Richard seems to have been right about Alem. He’s been a real important factor in tonight’s game.

Geez, Danielson, shut up about the Raiders

Chance for glory and redemption here for Lee?

That 3 and 3 play call was baffling
What a picture of domestic tranquility... Hemlock on the hearth and my wife feeding the piranha.
Yes It Was, Yes It Was
I get Miles likes to play call in a manner that is more agressive then I would. That makes no sense to me, which the ball that far on our side of the field.
How was that call safe?
Safe would have been pounding with Scott up the middle to try to get the three, not putting it in Lee’s hands
That Is My Point, I Would Have Given It To Scott
Not left it in Lee’s hands. I just assume if you are a top tier college team, late in the game, you ought to be able to run the ball for three yards. If you can’t, well then most times you should lose.
Oh you are KIDDING ME
Lost 2 timeouts there?
I Should Add, Is There Maybe A Building Burning On Campus
cause this game is getting into the bizzaro world element.
hahahahahah
this game is still alive…..
Go Big Red Nebraska!

You are kidding me
Lee managed to actually turn it over in the end zone
oh hell
that sucks. he should have thrown to the middle of the field.
Go Big Red Nebraska!

poopie
damn. was hoping to see ’Bama lose at Tiger Stadium.

why are you such a bad sport?
get over it. you’re they guy high school that never made the team and said, “that coach was stupid, I’m better than everybody.”
LMAO!
You mean, like Florida beat the crap out of yall right? MAHAHAHA! ROLL TIDE!
exactly! 50 something to 20 something would be perfect!
as for brandonh. Give me a break. it was a tough and emotional loss. I along with many other fans wanted not only lsu to win but for saban to lose. the comment was made about 3 minutes after the game. Perhaps I should have spent those 120 seconds getting over the game.. Your arrogant deduction of my life from a stupid comment on a 400+ post game thread is absurd not to mention throughly incorrect.
you guys
have to remember one thing.
Nick Saban = contract with the devil. The devil always pays off in the second year. That’s why he keeps moving.
Go Big Red Nebraska!

florida will bludgeon this team
What a picture of domestic tranquility... Hemlock on the hearth and my wife feeding the piranha.
i hope so
that’d be fine with me. I hope Nick Saban fails. It’d be best for college football.
Go Big Red Nebraska!

Alabama is now 25-8-2 all-time at Tiger Stadium.
You never know in college football. Bama wasnt supposed to be this good this year but they proved alot of people wrong. LSU won the national championship last year but you cant tell they did by the way the tigers are playing this year. Bama and Florida in the SEC championship. Who knows Florida might beat their ass like they did LSU. You never know in college football.
Sayeth the man...
who’s team is coached by an LSU-ship-jumping buffoon.

From What I Saw Today, I Am Pretty Sure
that is going to happen. I think FL is the best team in the nation.
you mean
except for the Big 12 south schools. :)

Well I Live In Rural Illinois
I am in the middle of the Big Ten vs. Big 12 conference. I don’t think anybody from the Big 12 wants any part of FL. Now I think any number of those teams are better than the best the PAC 10 or Big Ten has to offer. But mark my words on this.
LSU shoulda won it
Bama lucked out. Jarrett Lee was a human turnover machine. Miles is the superior coach.
Orange and Blue Hue: The World through GATOR-colored Glasses -- http://www.orangeandbluehue.com
I notice the vast majority of hatin' SOB's
are non-LSU partisans. I think most fans of LSU, Alabama, the SEC and football generally were treated to one helluva’ effort. Not a second went by where I was not awed by the individual effort of one player or another —irrespective of their uniforms. This was LSU’s defense playing to their full potential, and Alabama’s front seven stepping up…big boys smacking one another. Les Miles had one helluva’ game plan, especially on offense, Saban had a gameplan to keep attacking on both sides of the ball.
Perhaps this rivalry can now move back to where it belongs: hard fought, tough, physical and actually about the play on the field instead of the extraneous bullshit. Just a wonderful effort by both teams. Every person…every single one of them…on both sides deserves out applause.

Ditto...
when you get physically mauled and ripped for 200+ yards on the ground, that’s not exactly a whipping. This was LSU’s finest defensive performance of the year. Imagine if they had a QB: RP probably cost this team at least 2 games.
