that play was an encapsulation of LSU's season so far
right until the lucky break at the end.
They had Wilson twice and he somehow escaped to make a big play.

I Don't Mean To Get On A Rant Here
but at many levels it seems the basic things have been forgotten. What was the first thing you were told when you started playing football …. protect the darn football at all cost.

I said the same thing during Texas-Texas Tech
When Graham Harrell took that awful sack late in the 4th to knock them back 15 yards and result in a missed long FG…almost cost them the game.
I’m surprised how often I see veteran players (at all levels, as you say) forgetting these things lately.

I Just Don't Get It, I Mean The Thing I Was So Impressed
by the LSU team was until just two weeks ago the running backs had not lost a fumble in like 600+ carries. That is good coaching. And good coaching wins you a lot of football games.

Lee
Okay, over/under on the time into the game at which we have the (first) Lee pick-six?
It’s like the 2006 Saints, we gave up an 80 yard TD seemingly every game so by the end of the year the mantra just became “Let’s get it out of the way early so we have time to battle back from their momentum.” Better early than late.

Problem is, Bama's usually up big at the half
They’ll come out firing on every cylinder. If we’re not set for a war (and we clearly weren’t in the 1st half) we will get steamrolled.

Sunset's coming soon
At least we’ve got a night game for the 2nd half. Hope everyone smuggled in an extra large flask to keep things lubricated!

Wow
I mean, if we are going to express faith in Lee as Miles did coming out of the half, then that certainly wasn’t a shining example

I meant “running on 3rd and 9” wasn’t a shining example, not your comment. I’m with you on the comment

Anyone else getting the feeling that we've blown all our chances?
I’m not entirely convinced we haven’t, but this is one of those situations in which I wouldn’t be surprised by a quick Bama TD right out of the gates.

We’d be saying the same thing if we were in Bama’s shoes, no?

If Lee were hurt?
Would Jefferson come in? Lee is hurt, psychologically.

We have ecome a two down football team
We’re in 3d and long and zero chance for a first b/c we’re just running draws.
Are we throwing in the towel on the damn season?

I think the team has given up on him. I think he’s given up as well. It’s time for him to come out

Frankly, I tip my hat b/c they’ve held their own thus far. There’s just so much you can expect out of them when at this point we can’t even expect a first down out of our gawdawful offense.

Look If Us Dudes/Gals On A Message Board Know We Are
a two down team, I am thinking the folks on the Bama sidelines know it as well. And of course that is not a good thing. I think we have to put JJ in. I see no other choice.

Well
That might make it a tough catch for you and me but as a D-I wide receiver, if you get your hands on it without being fully extended – and he wasn’t – it’s on you to catch it.

Definitely
As long as it isn’t over the middle with anyone behind the guy, as Danielson is saying. That’s why I’m wondering if we’re so flaccid on O, why not just take a shot downfield more often. I love the play call, at least

God, it's just horrible
There is no point in letting him throw over the middle. How long do we stick with this? Why even waste a SINGLE attempt at it? Esp when the result is 3rd and 11?
