In Light of This Morning's Post

This morning, we discussed the rumors that Ed Orgeron could be joining the staff here at LSU in some capacity or another.  In that spirit, we have a poll.  Granted, there's a lot more to the issue of hiring him than just the question of do you want him.  What would his salary be?  Obviously it would be higher than a typical DL coach.  Is there money in the budget for it?  These and other questions may or may not ever be answered.

I would be really sad to see Henson go.

I met him at an Alumni event in Birmingham last year. Seemed like a great guy. I think Henson even played for Miles at Ok St. if I remember correctly so I don’t see Miles demoting Henson, just to hire Orgeron…

So thinking along the strategeric lines that Les Miles operates on I think we will see co-Head Recruiting Coordinators at LSU. That’s right. Orgeron will be D-line coach and co-head recruiting coordinator.

Just to clear something up

The recruiting “coordinator” is not necessarily the prime recruiter. He’s just the guy who keeps track of who’s on the road, who’s recruiting who, who’s got responsibility for which area, and for making sure all the rules are followed. Orgeron did that for Pete Carroll, but his true love is being the head recruiter, which is not the same thing.
