Around SBN: Explaining Jeremy Lin's Early, Surprising Success

Another Weekend at "The Box"

By virtue of its sweep in this weekend's regional, LSU has earned one last weekend at Alex Box Stadium, before hopefully sending out the venerable stadium as a winner.

Standing in the Tigers way will be UC-Irvine, which advanced through the Lincoln, Neb., Regional. The Anteaters, who were the regional No. 2 seed, knocked off Oral Roberts on Sunday to earn a Super Regional berth.

LSU has now won 23 straight and is just two games away from advancing to its 14th College World Series in the last 23 years, but its first since 2004.

Be sure to check back later in the week as I'm sure resident baseball expert Poseur will have a series breakdown.

One thing I noticed

All the national seeds are still alive, and only a couple have to go to a Monday game to advance.
