LSU Not A Party School

There are few things Tiger fans take seriously, and chief among them is the ability of our student body to binge drink and party. Hey, you go with what you know. LSU has always encouraged the "Laissez les bon temps roulez" attitude.

So what the hell is going on with these new rankings?

Now, I'm okay with Florida being #1. Hell, I'm even okay with Ole Miss being #2 if just so the Rebs can have the feeling of finishing ahead of LSU in a poll for once. I partied in Gainesville once and I think I ruptured a kidney. Those guys are crazy.

No, my problem is that LSU doesn't even appear on the list? What is wrong with the youth of today? Going to LSU and actually being diligent students? What happened to our legacy of drunken undergrad debauchery? You have a whole lifetime to be a responsible adult, don't go sober up on me now, LSU students.

Look, Tulane and Loyola of New Orleans are ranked. This is unacceptable. We're being shown up by a bunch of prep school kids. For every LSU student reading this page, put down that book and walk down to Chimes Street and keep doing shots until you think Mike the Tiger would make a nice housepet.

LSU ranked 8th among schools where students study the least and 8th for “class discussions rare”.

Quite the downfall

In my freshman year, LSU was ranked No. 1 in the nation. I remember the front page of The Reveille to this day. I had it proudly hung up in my room throughout college.
