I’ve got coffeee. I’ve got bagels. I’ve got my #18 jersey. I’ve got a killer hangover.
Let’s get this season started.
Great Start
14-0 early. Our offensive line is dominating. Our defensive line is dominating, despite the fact that neither Alexander nor Cousin Kirston are playing. Hatch is playing solidly.
It looks like there won’t be much drama in this one.

We've never had big readership on the weekends
and I’m at home by myself watching the toddler, so I’m not spending a lot of time at the keyboard. Mrs. ATVS is working this morning.

QB Challenge
From what I have seen so far, my comfort level with QB has significantly risen. I am most impressed with the fact that Crowton/Miles have opened the playbook for both QB’s and are not just playing “take the snap and get rid of it”.
Agree
Admittedly, it’s not SEC quality defenses, but most of the passes have been on target or safe misses, with the exception of that one near interception from Lee a few minutes ago. The OL is doing a great job of giving them time to make reads.
Even so we still probably won’t know that much about them until the Auburn game.
2nd half
really sluggish. not exactly sloppy, but there’s no rhythm, no “clicking” on offense.
Punting is not encouraging.
Keiland Williams looks bored and uninterested in cutting upfield
Been pretty happy with how they’ve mostly contained Edwards from running up and down the field.
I think I’ve never watched a game with so little noise in the stadium.
Defense played pretty well all game
except for that breakdown the announcers blamed on Beckwith. The offense didn’t look so great once the energy of starting the season wore off.
I think on the whole neither QB looked very good. Neither looked bad, but neither looked very good either. Lee had a pick, and was lucky not to have another. But he also threw a nice TD pass, got another one on a catch and run and did a few other nice things. Hatch looked OK, but limited, which is not a big surprise.
