Late Non-LSU Open Thread
Yes, it will take something like a miracle for Ole Miss to win this one, but did we not learn anything from Oregon State? I am convinced that Ole Miss has a great game in them somewhere, if they can just find it. They have a highly talented quarterback and athletic receivers, a good offensive line, and playmakers on the defensive line. The talent is not "all over the field" at this point, but it's not bad. If they can play with emotion, then they can play over their heads, and they can catch Florida napping. I'm not saying it'll happen, but it might, and if it does I want to watch.
Consider this your open thread for non-LSU games today. Sorry it's late.

I was outside
Washing down the unit and I came back inside to check the scores on the computer. Well, what do I see? I see that ESPN has a typo in their ‘scores’ section. There is no way that ’Crazy like a Nutt" beat the abomination that is TEBOW.
I do agree with a poster on another site. He said that the lack of a running game is going to come back to haunt them. Well that particular prediction has come true. I don’t think this is the last time that the lack of a good running back is going to hurt them, either.

It confirms that Ole Miss is a threat
which I actually believed all along. Florida gets to take out their frustration on Arkansas before playing us.

The thing is
I said that I think Ole Miss has a great game in them. This was NOT a great game by them. Snead was not sharp at ALL. He was 9 for 20 for 185 yards, 2 touchdowns, and an interception, but those stats are deceptively good. There was an 85 yard catch and run on busted coverage (the game winning points). It was a nice throw, but it was a huge play that skews the stats.
I like to report the outlier and then report the stats without the outlier. So Snead had:
One 85-yard catch-and-run touchdown and was otherwise
8 of 19 for 100 yards, 1 touchdown, 1 interception.
So for most of the game, he was averaging just over 5 yards per attempt, completing less than 50% of his passes and was sacked a couple times. He also showed a lack of poise in the pocket.
This is all to say, I think Ole Miss can play better than they played today, and they still managed to beat the #4 team in the country on the road.

On to Tennessee @ Auburn
If what Peyton Manning said is true that the problem is that the players aren’t listening to the coaches, I reiterate my point that Tennessee needs to clean house of players. Either you clean out the players who aren’t buying in, or you have to plan to have a new set of coaches next year. The players who aren’t listening and who are failing to provide leadership and who are playing without passion are doing nothing but hurt you, even if they’re your best players. You have to separate them from the rest of the team or the situation could continue for years.
That said, they’re very much in this one to this point, 14-12. I’m rooting for Tennessee. Auburn continues to look anemic on offense.

Auburn's defense
really is outstanding. 179 total yards for Tennessee. Auburn’s anemic offense is outgaining them. Tennessee gets the ball on the Auburn 40 and doesn’t move a yard.
