Around SBN: Explaining Jeremy Lin's Early, Surprising Success

Lost my couch coach last week.

Hi everyone at ATVS. I just wanted you all to know I lost my dad suddenly last week. He was life time Tiger fan from BR and a Navy vet . In his honor we covered his casket with a huge LSU blanket and a spray of purple and gold flowers. He would have loved it. I will miss him dearly and the conversations about the Tigers. When I wasn't with him to watch in person we talked on the phone during the entire game to help coach the Tigers to victory. Often being very successful. Although he never had a computer I kept him up with the opinions from ATVS and Dandy Don. Keep up the great work people.

I love you dad and go Tigers!

Condolences

I never know what exactly to say in these cases. My dad doesn’t stay up late enough to watch the games finish any more, but we talk every Sunday to recap the game. I know I’m going to miss that when it doesn’t happen anymore.

My condolences, too.

I will miss my dad for the same reasons when that time comes. Sorry for your loss.

My condolences.

My dad and I became very close through LSU football, and I always look forward to discussing the games with him. My thoughts are with you and your family.

Very heartfelt condolences, as well.

I am the same way with my dad. When we go to church and then lunch on Sundays, it is an enjoyable time to talk about LSU football with him and my brother-in-law. This really puts in perspective what I take for granted during football season. I don’t know how I’ll handle it when I won’t be able to do this anymore.

I'm sorry to hear that..

I think most of us use sports to connect to family, and I’m proud that we were able to help with that a little.

Thanks all...

for the kind words. Hoping the Tigers come through Sat.
It will be hard to not be calling dad and discussing the game. Again thanks.

God Bless You and your dad....

I don’t know you … but reading your post made me think about my X-Navy dad too. I lost him in 99. I’m so sorry todays game didn’t help you feel any better, but hopefully we are better off for our dad’s teaching us to LOVE the TIGERS !
Take care of yourself… and God Blees your father.

Best wishes C.D. @ Austin Tejas
