LSU-OLE MISS
How sad! The players play hard. They come back and execute. And total mismanagement of the game PREVENTS a win. When I first saw the clock mismanagement at the end of the first half in the Georgia game, it was incredulous. Perhaps the quarterback is young, they didn't specifically review time management drills. No, not the case. This situation has recurred repeatedly over the course of the rest of the season. And tonight, the situation was no less than embarrassing and incompetent. Clock management is football coaching 101. This incompetence cost the game, a better bowl, national rankings, and most of all a demoralizing event for the players. The coach failed to call a time out (his last) before ignorantly allowing 16 seconds to click off the clock. He apparently thought he had another time out left, or simply did not know how to manage a game. Would one think to tell the players at the time out session EXACTLY what to do to manage the precious few seconds left? Field goal anyone? 9 seconds left before the bomb...field goal team READY to go onto the field anyone??? 1 second left, throw it in the endzone????? Jefferson had numerous delay of game penalties. Anyone on the coaching staff bother to tell him what to do? In the past we have overcome many errors because of a healthy lead. Mistakes did not ruin the end result. In this situation, the margin for error was too slim.
Timing is everything in life. Especially at LSU. My apologies to the great athletes who play for my alma mater. You did a great job and fought hard. Your instructors are at fault for this one!

Couldn't agree more.
I feel bad for our players. If LSU doesn’t get rid of Miles now, they will lose all the recruiting momentum they have worked so hard to achieve.
Call Jimbo, LSU! Call him now!!
