Keiland Williams Appreciation Day

"LSU senior running back Keiland Williams finished with 11 carries for 40 yards before exiting the game with a season-ending injury. " - LSUsports.net

With all the arguing over the last minute of the Ole Miss game we really haven't said a lot about this huge and disappointing loss.

Keiland has been a great player for us at times, and never complained about being in a crowded backfield or not getting enough opportunities.

(unfortunately though our deepest position has now sustained several major injuries and becomes a question mark moving forward)

His leap and run in 2007 against Virginia Tech is one of my all time favorite plays.

I was looking forward to him finishing strong and I hate for his career to end like this.

Keiland, thanks for being a Tiger and a class act - We wish you well in the future!

Copying my post from Podkatt's thread on Keiland's injury

He has never complained publicly about not being the starter or the feature back. This guy was a 5* recruit coming out of high school and has shown flashes of brilliance at times. Now he gets his shot at being THE guy and gets injured. I really hope he gets a chance to play on Sundays.

CHAD JONES! WOOOO!!!!

Williams & Scott

It would have been understandable if one of them had decided to transfer rather that split carries, but both of them stayed rather than going to a lesser school (by that I mean any other school).

Hopefully a year from now NFL fans might be calling Williams the steal of the draft.

Hooray for Kieland Williams!
