Speaking of recruiting, I have been told that Les Miles is going to focus mainly in recruiting the state of Louisiana, East Texas up to Dallas, the Golden Triangle area up to Houston and the Gulf Coast of Mississippi for the 2010 signing class. I was told by an out-of-state coach that there are 20 to 23 big-time national recruits in the state of Louisiana for the 2010 signing class. I think that number is correct as Louisiana is loaded with a good mixture of skill players, offensive linemen, defensive linemen and linebackers. There are three big-time quarterbacks and at least four big-time wide receivers who will sign with 1-A schools.

Dandy don doesn't break up his posts into separate links, so I just have to link the home page. On the one hand, it's good to know that Louisiana is so deep next year. It's something I had not heard before. On the other, I wouldn't want to give up on Florida, as we often get a good prospect or two from there. Also, I think we need to take a run at Tennessee linebacker Justin Maclin, who seems to be really considering us.
