Around SBN: SB Nation interviews Jerome Bettis

"A lot of credit for this championship should go to Les Miles, our football coach," Mainieri said. "If Les wasn’t so cooperative to work with to allow Jared to concentrate on baseball this spring and to let Chad play, I don’t know if we’d be here. Those two guys were critical players for us."

2theadvocate.com. Les Miles is a very easy man for LSU fans to like.

I was hoping the would interview Miles after the game....

Mainieri is a great guy, but I wanted to get a few sound bites out of Les.

Couldn't Do That

There would have been more complaints about CLM committing seconedary recruiting violations, whatever that is. We’ll just wait until Les uses the baseball team as a motivator for his “damn strong football team”. GO LES!

wasn't totally serious...

I wouldn’t want les to steal the spotlight from where it belongs. And that is on the baseball players and coaches. Mainieri did a great job this season, and the players did as well. I am sorry that we don’t get another year w/ some of these players, they really are fun to follow.
