Based on comments and a little research, I've made a few changes to my first BlogPoll ballot. Here are the only real changes.
-- You're right. VT needs to fall a few spots due to the injury to Evans. Even more disturbing are these comments from the new starter: "I’m really not a disciplined running back."
-- I want to show Wisconsin some love. Mission accomplished. But it's time to replace them with a Big Ten team with a better shot. Iowa gets a ranking and I've removed Wisconsin. I'm giving them far too much credit for losing close games. The key here is losing.
-- Notre Dame is gone in favor of Miami. I just can't bring myself to rank the Irish.

I don't get it
Why the love for GA? They lost their starting QB and star RB and some key Def. players and they are ranked above LSU? If experience is an issue for us, why not for everyone else? Just asking.

Not a huge difference in their ranking. I hate teams blaming anything on injuries because everyone has injuries, but the Dawgs really were gutted by injuries last season. and, yes, their glamour players have moved on to the NFL. But the offensive line returns, and it is arguably the best line in the country. It will make th transition fairly smooth.

In a preaseason poll especially
the difference between 7 and 10 is minimal. It’s all a crapshoot at this point.

In that case...
since there isn’t much of an actual difference between 10 and 7, I would give the love to my Tigers instead of the dawgs. But that’s just me.
Also, I’m not sold on Ok State. They have a good program and probably deserve a top 15 ranking, but I think 9 is a tad high.
But like you say, this is a preseason poll and unless you are in a conference outside of the BCS, it doesn’t really have any bearing on your season.
