LSU's scrimmage Saturday offered some clues - one disquieting, the other heartening - about how the Tigers may fare this fall in the critical area of quarterbacking.

Sophomore Jordan Jefferson threw two scoring strikes to senior wide receiver Brandon LaFell, one of 40 yards and another of 2 yards, head coach Les Miles said. Redshirt sophomore Jarrett Lee, on the other hand, threw two interceptions.

LSU holds extended touch scrimmage; Jefferson and LaFell shine - NOLA.com. I really root for Lee, but it's so disheartening to hear that this is continuing. I really think it's probably a mental thing at this point. Still, it's great to hear that Jefferson had a good scrimmage. You can't put too much stock into anything that happens in an intrasquad scrimmage. After all, for every good thing that happens with the offense, it means a bad thing for the defense, and vice versa. All we really want is for everyone to get a little more practice and come out of it healthy.
