LSU holds final scrimmage of 2009 preseason camp
It looks like the offense was ahead of the defense yesterday, as Jordan Jefferson had a great day, going 11 of 14 for about 150 yards and a touchdown. Lafell led the way for the receivers as expected, but Rueben Randle had a really nice showing. Russell Shepard did nothing to dissuade us from thinking he's going to be a weapon this year. Apparently the defense did a pretty good job of getting after the quarterback when they weren't allowing him to complete pass after pass.
The most important news is that this was a tackle scrimmage and there are no injury reports coming out.

Pass defense??
Gulp! Should we be concerned? I thought most of the time the defense should be ahead of the offense under the circumstances.

I’m a little nervous that Peterson is up to 218#. That’s high for a cornerback
