In other words, Jefferson's running will be the result of pocket breakdowns or scrambling rather than design. . At this stage of the season, this is exactly right. Jefferson is very important to this team, and we need to strike a balance between the risk of getting Jefferson hurt and the risk of losing. As the season presses on and the games start getting bigger, I would expect to see Jefferson asked to take a few more hits for the good of the team. For right now, be a ball distributor and run when there's room.
