Chad Jones Offensive and Defensive Player of the Week

No voting necessary this week.  Chad Jones offensive and defensive player of the week.  Jones prevented LSU from getting cow belled.  Team needs alot of work, but it was a great win.  Offense really has a long way to go before next weeks game at Georgia or we could get embarrassed.  No more JP games please.  Defense really showed some character with that last stop to win the game.  Team is still 4-0 and has not played its best game yet.  Not so bad.

Altough, PPeterson had a MONSTER game as well.

And don’t tell me JJ can’t go deep!!!

We need to break this 3 yrds and a cloud of dust on 1st down play calling!!!!

I don't see the 3 yards and a cloud of dust 1st down playcalling..

we seemed to virtually abandon the run for most of the 2nd half until our last possession

He plays offense?

How can a player who didn’t line up on a single offensive play gain the Offensive Player of the Week?

Jefferson had a career-high 233 yards with 2 touchdowns, not INTs. Lafell had a hundred yards and 2 touchdowns. Having actually played offense, one of them deserves it.

On defense, I would go with Peterson. Scored a TD, defended several other plays in the secondary. Chad Jones had the biggest individual play, but I think Peterson had a better game on defense.

Special teams? Oh yeah, Chad Jones, even though he should have fair caught the second punt instead of getting tackled at the five.

Richard, I totally agree about the run game...

I think we’re trying to make sure that upcoming teams know we can throw the ball. I really hope we can get some rhythym on offense next week.

If would could run the ball like we did last year, and have JJ throw without INT’s, we could be a very dangerous team.

Chad

He had a great game but what up with the fair catch on like the 5 yard line? Put us in a huge hole. Also have noticed the old ‘lack of hustle’ away from the ball like last year. Not from Chad but from the DBs in general.
