If you could bring back one Tiger from the 2000's for next year's team, who would it be?

The headline says it all.  I was just curious who it would be.  I initially thought Dwayne Bowe while watching highlights, but after thinking about it, I think Dorsey (or Landry) would be huge.  We don't really need a WR, we have a solid QB who will keep progressing.  Maybe Helms on the offensive line, because as soon as he left it all fell apart, and he really impressed me with how he handled Cody in the 08 Bama game, but we probably need more than one lineman.  I think we'll be solid at running back, as well as linebacker and corners.  That basically leaves D-line and safeties.

Great topic.

Either Brett Helms or Herman Johnson. I have a want to fix the O-line before anything else.

Glen Dorsey

Or the best OL, whoever that is. Front line is the most important.

The best LSU player I've ever seen in person...

Marcus Spears 2003.

As LSU was bleeding us to a slow 24-3 death, at home, at night, in Tuscaloosa….I’ve only ever hated three other LSU folks as much: Josh Reed; Nick Saban; and, friggin’ Jamarcus Russell.

Spears was good, and so was Dorsey, but one guy HAS to be

JaMarcus. And really guys, this is not a close decision for me.

Ryan

Perrilloux. I’m actually not kidding. He was my favorite tiger to watch and I’ll just leave it at that. During the ‘08 season when they finally put Jefferson in they showed his mobility (compared to Lee) and I remember thinking to myself "well, I can live with this kid, he’s like the poor man’s Ryan Perrilloux." It’s too bad this year they went away from letting Jefferson be mobile, which I think was his best strength.

i want RP back :(

WOW - That's the last name I expected to see on this post

Now if we did the one thug we could change into a decent citizen and have back RP runs away by a mile!!

Yeah that was unexpected

But I might agree with you there. I would have loved to have him for 08 especially. He seemed to have outstanding chemistry with Byrd…oh man. Him, with out O-line, Scott, Lafell, Byrd, Dickson…it wouldn’t have mattered that our defense sucked.

big herm or dorsey

josh reed, and jamarcus were awesome, but the lines are more important.

Matt Mauck

This team needs a leader on offense. I hate the cliche, but Mauck was the quintessential field general. He was mobile in the pocket, was not afraid of being hit, and knew when and when not to get rid of the football.
