Montgomery lost for year
Redshirt freshman defensive end Sam Montgomery was helped off the field in the first half Saturday what Miles said was a chop block.
LSU spokesman Michael Bonnette said Sunday that Montgomery will need surgery and is likely finished for the season.
The South Carolina native started all five games this season and recorded 18 tackles, six for loss and two sacks.
Redshirt freshman Barkevious Mingo filled in for Montgomery, while sophomore Lavar Edwards got his first start in place of Ken Adams, who was limited by an ankle injury.
