Irresponsible Rumors Open Thread

Well, National Signing Day is tomorrow and we're currently working on a Roundtable for your time wasting pleasure.  But it is time to go into over-enthusiastic recruiting mode.  We'll be suspending the Top 30 Tigers of the Decade feature for NSD, so we can wildly speculate on recruits and rumors all day tomorrow.

But here's your chance to freely opine about the next LSU recruit to decommit.  Or what NSD Surprise Les has cooked up.  Here's who is left on the board:

WR Kadron Boone - Soft verbal to Texas Tech, maybe wavering to LSU

DE Ego Ferguson - Probably a race between Cal and FSU, LSU still barely alive

WR Jarrett Fobbs - Verbal to Texas A&M, strong lean to LSU

DT Brandon Jackson - Soft verbal to Texas A&M, but late visit to LSU

LB Justin Parker - Strong Clemson lean, but South Carolina and LSU are in play

ATH Trovon Reed - Committed to Auburn, but outside chance will switch to LSU

S Dietrich Riley - California kid who is probably going to UCLA, but late visit to LSU and USC

Let the speculation commence!

Is Ambles out?

Although after this I don’t think I will be too upset if he ends up going elsewhere…

Yeah, I think so

I thought Ambles took us off his list. ESPNU is apparently reporting Fobbs is switching to LSU. No link yet, but I don’t doubt it. That effectively kills any chance at Ambles.

Thanks for the info

For all of the whining about the decommits, if we have Fobbs now too, we didn’t lose much at all. I REALLY like Armand Williams, 6’3" and a 41" vertical.

Hahaha but man that’s gotta suck to be publicly rejected like that, I bet Ambles won’t hear the end of that for a while.

We went from zero WR recruits to Wright, Williams, and Fobbs. Absolutely terrific recovery, and probably better than what we had. This class is shaping up to be a solid #5-10 class. Not spectacular, but still very good.

And the o-linemen were in the last class. There are four d-line recruits in this class, which is good. Come on, Ego! Shock the world!

Predictions

Ego – Miami.
Boone – LSU
Jackson – TAMU
Fobbs – TAMU
Reed – Auburn
Parker – Clemson
Riley – UCLA

I like our class, but I wish we were able to recruit the lines a little better.

Ego had been leaning towards us for a while, but now for some reason his HS coach took a position Texas Tech under Tuberville, so this whole thing is a mess, as now TT came in off the radar just a few days ago, and is apparently a contender.
