No really, that's UCI's new logo. How much you think they payed for that?
Didn't catch most of the game while at a wedding last night, and my head is pounding, but here's a few things that stick out.
Ranaudo's pitch count was well over 100 and the 10 K's are nice, but those 2 solo shots make me worry that he's still got lingering control issues that I had hoped he had gotten over last week. Again didn't see it so not sure on that.
In fact, Ranaudo and Bauer's lines are pretty similar, and we only left 6 on compared to UCLA's 8. How high is Gaudet's K count gonna get this year? He passed 50 weeks ago.
No motivation should be needed today, it's win or go home for the next 3 games. That's a difficult path, but we've done it before. In fact, we did it the last time we traveled for the regional at A&M, hostile Aggie crowd and all. Long day ahead, and I don't want to wrap up the season this week.
Starting pitchers: Bradshaw likely for GM1, then CPM has some tough choices to make. I'll update when i hear official starters.
LOS ANGELES - Junior right-hander Ben Alsup (5-0, 3.00) will be the starting pitcher for LSU when it faces UC Irvine in an elimination game Sunday at 4 p.m. in the NCAA Los Angeles regional.
Right-hander Evan Brock (5-4, 3.00) will start for the Anteaters. Both pitchers saw action in Friday's game between the two, won by LSU, 11-10, in 11 innings.
Weather: you know already
TV: Cox Sports on the tube, 98.1 on the dial, ESPN3.com on the interwebs (if you are out of the blackout region).
