Let's try to understand the difference between a BCS opponent and rent-a-win.
Case in point:
"In fact, Peterson was out of the game on the 97-yard touchdown pass by T.J. Yates to Jheranie Boyd because he said LSU defensive backs coach Ron Cooper wanted to get some of the younger guys in the game.
“I guess he thought we had a comfortable lead,” Peterson said."
For everyone out there who wonders why everyone here gets so upset about coaching, this is what we're talking about.

Yeah..
Coach Cooper really goofed in the second half. I know he has confidence in the younger player’s coverage skills but, no way Peterson should have been sent on so many blitzes. He’s still one of the coaches I have the most faith in, so hopefully he can learn from the UNC situation.
It wouldn't have mattered on that play
Claiborne and Taylor were the ones burned on that play. Mathieu and Vinson were on the other side of the field. Vinson got into the picture trying to chase Boyd down, but the guys who got burned were starters.
Maybe it's for the best...
Granted, NOBODY wants to see their guys burned like that, but maybe now that they have been, they aren’t going to want it to happen again and they will cover that much better. Sometimes, in sports especially, experience is the best teacher.
