No Worries in the Valley
By: Shane Green
As most of you may have heard already 3 of LSUs players have been suspended for the game against Auburn on Saturday. Tyrann Matheiu (DB), Spencer Ware (RB) and Tharold Simon (DB) will be watching the game from a different view on saturday as they hope to stay undefeated and stay at the top of the AP rankings. Thier suspensions have been undisclosed by LSU. With these three IMPACT players out....what will happen? I say no worries, LSUs potent defense is very deep and should easily handle Auburn's offensive attack well. Auburn needs to get the ball in the the hands of thier running backs to have any chance of moving forward. Auburn Quarterback Clint Moseley, a sophmore starting his first career collegiate game, is very excited to hit the grid iron against the No. 1 defense in the country. The expectations in his eyes and on the Auburn sideline are high but don't be suprised to see alot of miscues early in the game as LSUs defense will be dialing it up fast and in his face.
The LSU offense will not be effected with the loss of Spencer Ware (Leads Team Rushing). LSU really likes this guy on the field to pound a defense but not far behind we have a very crafty running back in Michael Ford. Going up against Auburn's 87th ranked defense is a little bit of a relief with Ware being out. Ford will have plenty of holes to hit come Saturday. I expect Alfred Blue and Russell Shepard to get more touches as well with the absence of Ware. The play calling by Miles may change a little due to the changes in personel but I dont see it effecting the outcome of this game.
