LSU's Mythical Mad Hatter: Les Miles' Journey from Lucky Loser to Legendary
From the Bleacher: They say perception is reality and maybe they are right, but apparently reality changes.
Not so long ago LSU head coach Les Miles was dubbed the ‘Mad’ Hatter by the national media, as much for his seemingly odd adornment of the traditional white coaching cap as for some of his ‘quirks’.
To some—including many LSU fans—this was not a term of endearment as much as a description of the often ill-quoted, grass eating, swatch watch challenged, shadow of his predecessor coach that happened to win some big games with inexplicable, if not lucky play calling.
There were many methods used—by those detractors—to explain the success of ‘Lucky Les’.

Bear Bryant?
Sounds familiar, but should I know?
I WISH YOU HAD WAITED .....TILL ...
I REALLY WISH YOU HAD WAITED TILL AFTER THE SEASON TO WRite this article… The reason is both Houston Nutt and Bobby P. Arkansas … Have proven they can out coach MIles .… by miles, with far far fewer all star players much less resources at hand. ARKY and Ole’Piss … Have humiliated TIGER NATION time and time again… simply by being out coached …….
I know we will probably crush Ole’ Piss and probably beat Arky.. HOWEVER …… It would not surprise me at all if we lost one or both of the games .. It would CRUSH me inside and simply ruin the Holidays for me, but it would not surprise me.
