I knew Les was stubborn, but wow...

Hopefully this is not true... but apparently most of the team, and coaches, wanted Lee to play in the game for many reasons, inlcuding JJ "drinking heavily" on the days leading up to the game. But Les got so upset over it that he told the OC (Stud or Krags?) to look for a new job, and then benched most of the players that wanted Lee to play. The article also says that Les called all the plays during the game, and the team only ran about 2/3 of the plays they practiced in the weeks leading up to the game. It also states that Miles would not play Lee after some altercation Miles had with both Lee and his father sometime near the end of the season. I think Lee handled this whole situation with class, never saying a bad word about LSU.

It's clear Sheppard was one of those players who stuck up for Lee, but he is evidently coming back next year...so maybe there is no truth to this report, but I still find this story very interesting.
