ESPN: Jordan Jefferson questions game plan
After reading this, I'm certain there will be people saying, "See, I told you so."
But, really, who wouldn't question a game plan that didn't win a game? That headline and story ranks about as high in newsworthiness as "Boat owner questions putting hole in bottom" or "Driver questions driving with eyes closed."
I sure hope that CLM questions the game plan and I imagine he did. That's what you're supposed to do when the game plan didn't work and you expect to learn from the experience.
Thank you ESPN for that insight.
I'm so much better informed now.
<sigh>
I wonder if Bill Bellichek is questioning his game plan? Maybe ESPN could let us know.

He has to know where to go with the ball first
Jefferson has always looked confused in the pocket and holds onto the ball entirely too long. He even takes too long to decide when to run or not. I don’t see how he can call out the game plan when he has never proven that he can be a pocket passer. Good riddance….
Your body's dying. Pay no attention, It happens to us all-Lestat
Is he right about the game plan being horrible?
Yes. But I have three problems with this:
1. Our game plan options were limited by horrible QB play, which goes back to….the guy questioning the game plan.
2. Why say this now? It’s been a month, now it just looks like piling on…really late piling on that’s unnecessary.
3. Jefferson STILL has not (that I’ve seen, maybe I’m wrong and he has somewhere else) taken responsibility for playing absolutely horribly. It seems like he keeps putting blame elsewhere. It is infuriating to see him say “we have great wide receivers and sometimes we wonder why we don’t use them.” ARE YOU FREAKING KIDDING ME??? The reason we don’t use them is cause you can’t complete a pass without hanging them out to dry or making them dive to get it! He had 3+ years to prove he could be successful throwing the ball, and he failed. Before he calls out the coaching staff for underutilizing our WR’s, he should take a look at himself in the mirror, cause I bet he cost some guys some money from the NFL.
He has never taken responsibility for anything
Throughout his whole career he has blames someone else for any mistakes that were made. I can’t count the number of times I saw him yelling at his teamates after he got sacked or threw and incomplete pass. Even after he was allowed back on the team after the Shady’s thing, it was all “Me, me, me” for him. " I deserve to start, I am the one to lead this team to victory" etc.
He has never been a team player and never will be. I think he bought into his own offseason and practive hypes, because he truly belives he is a good QB, and that is just crazy if you look at the past 4 years…

I really began to agree with this too Saints fan during this season
which is why I was more and more mystified when Les continued to play him, since in general, Les really seems to emphasize team play and players holding themselves accountable for poor play.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH
That is all.
yeah, this is hilarious

What would it take to care about his opinion?
Maybe if he had throw to Deangelo Peterson when he was open and not to Spencer Ware when he was blocking, I would believe him.
I think I'm going with the Billy or Poseur (not sure which) strategy
I’m done discussing our past two qbs.
I would kill for another Rohan Davey, my favorite Tiger ever.
Kill what you ask? That’s rhetorical, the answer is Ole Miss Rebel.

I think its both of our strategies
He’s gone. The game is over. I’m not going to keep having this argument. The game plan DID suck. JJ DID play horribly. We accomplish nothing by arguing about these things on which we all agree. So, to quote Curly Bill…

ESPN just hates us so much
They running this story saying that “the NCG game is a black cloud ova the program that we will never be able to ger rid of”… “just as soon as we put that game in our rear view mirror and get some positive momentum for the future, this will alwatys get brought up”… “Jefferson just ripped off the scab one more time”….
Why can’t they just leave it alone. I understand that they need to report a story, but does it always have to come with such negativity toward our program? Like when Miles spoke at a PRIVATE PEP RALLY and said those things about Kiel, ESPN ran the story with the headline : “Miles rips Kiel”… how does that look to the rest of the nation and to other recruits? Why do they always have to paint us in such a negative light? It’s so aggravating…

Why can’t they just leave it alone
Why would they, we don’t?
We attack Miles, Jefferson, etc… unmercifully on PUBLIC forums and then wonder why the press runs with it.
We are our own worst enemy by far.

I got a problem with JJ here.
The fact of the matter is JJ was terrible this year and the handwriting was on the wall heading into the NC game after the AR and GA games.
I cannot believe JJ was classless enough to throw the coaches under the bus…THE SAME COACHES who stuck with him through thick and thin.

Agree 100%
and the same coaches he handcuffed with his incompetence.
Not trying to defend JJ
but I don’t think he’s saying anything new here. JL said pretty much the same thing. T-Bob did, too, in that radio interview.
Believe me, I’m glad he finished his collegiate football experience, especially after how he snapped at Ware.
I just don’t see this as JJ is throwing anyone under the bus.
Is it ok to boo JJ now?
Kidding, this doesn’t bother me all that much cause it’s really not surprising of him to blame someone else for his shortcomings. And the fact I never have to watch his frustrating play anymore.
I heard Scott Van Pelt was talking about JJ’s interview on his show today and blasted JJ. Hasnt listened to it myself yet but heard SVP and Ryen made some good points.

Nothing too controversial here...
I was screaming at my tv for LSU to throw the ball (wanted Lee to have a shot) in the late third when the game was still in reach, but even if they did (no matter who was in there), I would not have been surprised if it was not successful, I just wanted the Tigers to not be conservative and open it up at that point. Bama had our number that night.

GET TO THE RIM HEAT (and SKY)! ATTACK THE PAINT!
dude, we coulda had Marino or Brees or Al Bundy back there and it would't've mattered
their d line had our o lines’ number and that was the beginning and end of it.

Not their D line
Their entire freaking D, because they didn’t have to worry about anything more than 5 yards past the line of scrimmage. Of course our O-line looked horrible blocking 11.
I wish people would stop
Saying this. Yes we could have won with Marino or Brees back there. It’s a dumb argument to think 2 of the greatest qbs ever couldn’t beat a college defense. They have the brains to figure out complex pro d’s and avoid the likes of Lawrence Taylor and Demarcus Ware but can’t avoid bama’s Aussie? C’mon man.
Sorry for the rant but I’m tired of listening to that argument as if it’s fact. Btw, I don’t think JL would have done any better than JJ either which is what your argument is getting at right.

It's only a big deal
because he didn’t include his own play in his analysis. I agreed the coaching was terrible. But so was his play. There were throws to be made that he didn’t make. I didn’t hear him complain about play calling against GA.
