LSU's Trent Johnson has emerged as a leading candidate at TCU.
Sources told CBSSports.com that TCU athletic director Chris Del Conte has, after failing to get Pittsburgh's Jamie Dixon to return to his alma mater, has targeted Johnson -- who has spent the past four years in Baton Rouge.

This feels like it came out of nowhere. It's not like Johnson is having the best of times at LSU, but going to TCU is most certainly going to take a pay cut. If this turns out to be Johnson's agent working a threat to get him a payraise here, I'm going to be royally pissed.
UPDATE: According to our blog bros over at Frogs O' War, not only is Johnson going to interview, but he could take the job as early as next week.
FURTHER UPDATE: Fort Worth Star-Telegram reporting that Trent Johnson will be named the TCU head coach on Monday, according to "a high-ranking TCU official"
