I'll say this for the Greenies, they put up a fight in last night's 9-5 victory for LSU. They were able to stay with LSU, run for run, as long as their starter Byo was on the mound. Tulane made the most of LSU's mistakes all night, with 3 of their 5 runs being unearned. It was the usual parade of arms for LSU (8 used) as Broussard lasted 4 IP, but still lacks the consistency to last any longer. Offensively, LSU still has trouble with the occasional empty inning, but it was a good night overall, highlighted by a 6 run 6th where the Greenies came unraveled. JaCoby Jones benefited from being put into the 9-hole after a bad weekend, going 2 for 2. Rhymes went 2 for 3 and moved his BA back up to .503 And oh yeah, with 10,563 tickets sold, LSU beat another MLB game in paid attendance last night (Seattle @ Tampa Bay, 9,972) That's the 4th MLB game they've outsold in the past 2 weeks.
