I don't care how many games you win, CWS appearances you have and National Title trophies you claim, you don't throw yourkids under the bus. Linkeration till I find better.
What's worse, he does this to the players to protect is buddy Javy Sanchez, our incredible hitting and 3rd base coach. I was just fine with Paul before this. I thought he was playing too close to the Dinardo/Tepper method (stick by your friend long enough and you'll both get fired) but this is way too much. But to protect your buddy and do it at the expense of the very kids you are responsible for is lower than low.
We aren't Bama or Kentucky where they will routinely throw kids under the bus (even better if the coach does it) when making excuses for losing or needing a change. I hope we act like it and make a change soon. But I think the powers that be are at least a year from forcing Mainieri's hand. I am just stunned that someone I thought was a decent guy would do this.
