Well, let's all look at it in all of its glory: the first BlogPoll of the year. Since I'm a corporate shill at heart, we'll be bringing you two BlogPoll posts a week: one with my ballot and one with the resulting poll. I plan on using this second BlogPoll post as an excuse to look ahead to the national games of interest.
We get into after the jump, but here's the first poll:

Alabama is achieving as close to consensus as a bunch of bloggers are ever gonna come. If you asked a bunch of bloggers to name the greatest Buggles song, at least one would say something other than "Video Killed the Radio Star." That's just how we roll. As a reward, Bama takes the week off against Western Kentucky.
There's not a whole lot of star power in this week's slate, which is usually the worst of the season. The "Yay! Football!" effect has worn off and now we're left with a slate of the most creampuffy of creampuff games. I guess you could make a case for USC or LSU playing a team from a real contending conference, but neither game is expected to be all that close.
Hell, the game of the weekend might be Florida at Texas A&M, and neither one of those schools are even ranked. #8 Georgia plays Mizzou, which could also set the tone for the East race. But really, this weekend doesn't have a whole lot to offer other than excuse to ignore your family and watch more football.
Which, of course, we totally endorse.
