Hey all I was thinking about this idea this morning.
Do you think its possible Cam Cameron and Chavis styles' may not work well together? I will admit I may have WAY over thought this concept, but this is what I wrestled around with this morning.
Cameron and Chavis are both excellent coaches. Cameron likes a high scoring offense with plenty of passing and running. Chavis, likes a smaller defense that is tends to be predicated more on speed that physicality. Not saying our defenses haven't been physical, but that is just a false statement. But Chavis would prefer to put in a faster guy over a more physical guy. Now with that thought I made the connection that our defense in the future with Cameron being OC may never been as good as it used to be. Because the faster we score, the more out defense is on the field, and the quicker they wear down. Especially since they will tend to be smaller. I think this may be a reasonable correlation.
Our team should be built on grinding running games and possessing the football, rather than quick scoring. I know the talent on defense is not the same this year as it has been in the past. But it was something I thought about and would like to hear what you guys think about it.
