Michael Patterson, the No. 17 rated defensive end recruit according to Rivals, faxed his national letter of intent to LSU. He's a three-star prospect.
Patterson, of Winnfield, La., pledged to the Tigers last March over offers from Mississippi State and Nebraska. He had 69 tackles and nine sacks last season, and also saw some time on offense as a wide receiver.
