Kevin Spears, the No. 43 rated wide receiver according to Rivals, has faxed in his national letter of intent to LSU.

Spears is the classic late-bloomer, a tall, rangy target that only began playing football full time his senior season at Holy Cross High School in New Orleans. He has a limited offer sheet and jumped on a scholarship offer from LSU after a brief commitment to Louisiana Tech.

He earned a four-star rating from Rivals off his impressive senior film, and gives the Tigers a badly needed taller down-the-field target.
