Frank Herron, a five-star prospect and the No. 23 national recruit according to Rivals, faxed his national letter of intent to LSU.
Herron is the third-ranked defensive end recruit, out of Central High School in Memphis, Tennessee. He chose the Tigers last summer over offers from Ole Miss, Tennessee and South Carolina, and watched his stock explode with a big senior season that landed him in the U.S. Army All-American game. LSU managed to hold on to Herron after a late push from Texas, who managed to secure an official visit from him last weekend.
