I realize getting rid of reserved seating would be a matter of throwing the baby out with the bathwater (vet students are well behaved). But it's high time to get rid of the 'fans' that aren't doing anything for the students, the university, the team and future Tigers and their families.
Yes, part of my animus towards the Greeks is the born on third base thinking they hit a triple gift of the reserved seats. Why, exactly, are they more deserving than the kids that show up two hours before kickoff when the gates open? But this question gets even more relevant when you consider how the Greek sections are obviously and consistently the latest arriving and earliest leaving part of the LSU student section.
It is time to get rid of the dead weight of young men and women who do not appreciate the privilege of these seats and exacerbate this ingratitude by being the jackasses largely responsible for the profanity that leads to a negative impression for recruits and their family. In fact, it should be done for that alone. Let the section become general admission and banish the loser frats to upper north endzone.
And if anyone is thinking of retorting with the tired frat comeback of you're jealous you weren't in/you were a sad independent that sat in his dorm and had no friends, I played rugby. I had a brotherhood and paid for it with good times, blood and sweat.
