LSU defensive end Sam Montgomery detailed hundreds of dollars worth of bets with teammate Barkevious Mingo while they were in college, and a $5,000 bet on which one is drafted higher (which he’s almost certainly going to lose).

But the thing NFL teams will want to know about was his admission that he took plays and games off while at LSU.

The LSU football program has a nation’s-best 13 invitees to the NFL Scouting Combine workouts that will be held Feb. 20-26 in Indianapolis...All 11 LSU underclassmen that declared early for the draft in January were invited along with two seniors to attend what is often referred to as the "ultimate job interview."

LSU football recruits Hayden Rettig and Avery Johnson still had not enrolled in school as of Tuesday night while waiting for the NCAA Clearinghouse to certify their academic standing. LSU sports information director Michael Bonnette said the delay was procedural and both were expected to eventually join the team.
