An early look at LSU's 2011 recruiting class thus far.
Paul Turner just committed to LSU. More at TSD.com— Shea Dixon (@Sheadixon) July 31, 2010
Shea Dixon from Tiger Sports Digest just reported that West Monroe athlete Paul Turner has committed to LSU. Turner is 5'11, 185. Coming in to the season, it was unknown whether or not Turner would be LSU quality. A highly popular player within the state, Turner dominated in the Dome last season. At the recent LSU camp, Turner impressed coaches, running in the low 4.4s and impressing in WR drills. Turner's offer is as an ATH, so where he plays will still be up in the air, but the kid is definitely a versatile athlete sure to be shooting up the rankings.
CB David Jenkins is confirmed as the latest LSU commitment.— Shea Dixon (@Sheadixon) July 30, 2010
Shea Dixon from Tiger Sports Digest just tweeted that David Jenkins is the newest LSU commitment. This is no shocker, but a huge, huge pick-up, nonetheless. Many believe Jenkins is the best corner in the state of Texas, and his stock is currently rising. He is 6'1, 185 pounds and sports a Texas offer (which more than says enough about his ability). Ignore his current rankings, because they won't remain that way for long. Jenkins has legit tools and the skills to be a future lock-down corner at LSU.
