The Tigers welcome the Fresno State Bulldogs to Baton Rouge tonight. The game will be carried on ESPN2. What at the beginning of the year appeared to be a potential trap game for the Tigers at this point appears to be a sure rout. Ever since their remarkable performance in nearly upsetting USC last fall, the Bulldogs have lost eight of their nine games, with their sole victory being the opener this year against Nevada. Though the Tigers are favored by 33 this week, the silver lining for the Bulldogs is that I'm not sure it can get a whole lot worse than nearly yielding 70 to Hawaii last week. So, they've got that going for them, which is nice.
While the Tigers run the risk of getting caught looking ahead two weeks to Tennessee (with the bye week in between), all the evidence we have this year suggests we'll dispatch the lesser foe with ease - as ULL and Arizona learned prior to our tussle with Auburn, and Tulane and Mississippi State learned prior to our egg laid at Florida. We bounced back from that ugly loss by dismantling Kentucky and likely continue the pace this week. My pick: LSU 42, Fresno 10.
