It's officially Halloween in Louisiana now, so you know what that means...

....IT'S BILLY FREAKIN' CANNON TIME!!

On Halloween night at Death Valley in 1959, and #1 LSU trailing #3 Ole Miss 3-0 late in the game, Billy Cannon fielded a punt at his own 11, broke would-be tackles from just about every member of the Rebels' defense, and galloped 89 yards for the game-winning touchdown, propelling him to a landslide win in the Heisman trophy race. Halloween has carried a special spot in Tiger fans' hearts ever since, and Billy Cannon has gone down as one of the greatest athletes ever at LSU.

Meanwhile, as much as I love Wikipedia, I can't believe I'm going to have to slam the collective internet community for failing to even mention the punt return that was probably the greatest play of Billy's career at any level, and arguably the greatest play in the history of LSU Tiger football.
