Losing, losing, losing some more. Bring on baseball. And August, please.

Another day, another SEC loss for the Tigers. At least this wasn't quite as bad as the last second three Georgia laid on us a couple nights ago. I hate Georgia. Anyway, rejoice, in all the glory that is NIT time. At least signing day's next week for us to look forward to. And...baseball starts on the 10th! And...the women's track team is #1! And...ahmm, hey, the women's basketball team isn't doing too poorly! You know, I just might fill out a women's bracket this year. There's nothing quite like wagering on a 1 seed -51.5 in the first round and having it come down to the damn wire.

So you've probably heard by now that Nick Saban relayed a coonass story "off the record," which found its way onto the internet pretty damn quickly, and as things do down in South Louisiana, word got out and Tiger Nation was obliged to take offense. Ole Nick, being a rather shrewd individual himself, decided to nip it in the bud before it got out of hand and issued a clarification today. I really don't see what the big deal is, and frankly I didn't think it was all that bad to begin with. But what the hell do I know? I'm just a caveman, and don't understand things like "off the record." Supposedly the word is just that offensive, anyway; I spent the first 2 decades of my life in North Louisiana and never knew that much. Frankly I think a lot of folks are just looking for a reason to get pissed off at Nick for something else. OH, but keep your damn dirty hands off our recruits though, ya bastard.

For that matter, WTF is a record?

The Dandy was a little contrite after having reported incorrectly that DE Jason Peters committed to LSU over the weekend; he in fact committed to Georgia Tech. Right out of our backyard! Diggidy damn. Even the most "in-the-know" folks can oftentimes be not in-the-know. EVERYBODY's a caveman this time of year, see?
