We all know Rosenblatt is not long for this world, but Creighton officials say they'll still play most of their 2011 schedule at the Johnny. More importantly, Creighton has begun low level talks with LSU about playing the first game in the new Rosenblatt (TD Ameritrade Park just rolls off the tongue, don't it?) next May. An early May road trip for a mid-week game in the heat of the SEC Schedule? As much as it might be inconvenient, i can't see any reason we should say no.

For those who were not in yesterday's flood, The first spring practice was obviously indoors. Not much but coachspeak from the 1st post practice press meeting, but that's to be expected on the first day. Laney at the Advoc had some of the only newsworthy tidbits (Toliver now wearing #8, FB Parsons mildly injured in weight room accident.) has some post practice audio interviews with Jefferson, Shepard, and Sheppard.

Baseball has taken #1 in another poll, leaving only Baseball America unconvinced of the Tiger's greatness. And the Rev has a short profile on Gaudet's long trip back into the lineup.

One last bit of reading for you today, a story in The Rev about Shyrone Carey's efforts to rebuild the Carver High School football program.
