Baseball took 2 of 3 from Miss St. and got some help from the rest of the conference to secure an 8-seed in the tourney and most likely a spot in a regional somewhere. Full recap coming soon.
The 8-seed means we play UF at 4:30 (or later) on Wed. The game will likely be on Cox Sports, but i can't confirm that yet.
After destroying McNeese on Friday, the Lady Tigers failed to score a run all day Saturday losing to both USL and TxA&M by scores of 1-0, ending the softball season. It was especially heartbreaking in the A&M loss as Fico only gave up 2 hits, one of them a home run in the fourth.
Word came late last week that Bo Spencer is academically ineligible for the fall semester. He'll have to work to be eligible for spring semester, but with our log jam for roster spots, I expect CTJ to move quickly if Bo doesn't show some improvement quickly. We can ill afford do damage our APR more.
Megan McChrystal end in 5th place at the NCAA's after that record setting final round. She also earned 2nd team All-American honors. The men's team finished 5th at the Notre Dame regional and will advance to the NCAA finals in Chattanooga for the 1st time in 14 years.
