This is great, but it's not the best football hype video made by an athletic department I've seen today. More on that later.
The story about QB Chris Garrett is so far still only stated as fact behind the Rivals paywall. As soon as some one else confirms it, we'll let you know.
I mentioned in the Gumbo back on Tuesday the Advoc story from last Sunday about how Ausberry is working his tail off to fill an open date on next year's kickoff weekend. This launched a lot of speculation from the interested parties on the west coast. Then word came Wednesday that the Vols turned down an offer for an ATL kickoff special with Kiffin and USC. So suddenly USC, LSU, and the Georgia Dome all have vacancies on next years kickoff weekend. Doc Saturday connects the dots. (Also, tangent while researching this: Pac-10 got a new logo?)
Speaking of the Good Doctor, there was some kind of story about LSU, Air Force, and field goal unit speed. I tried reading it but at some point my vision got all red and I blacked out for a bit. Where did all this blood come from?
LSUSports.net has Gaudet's HR count from the Derby: 2
The 2010 football media guide is up for preorder: $25 bucks, ships in August. That's kinda steep, especially when you consider they put them up online for free:
As for hype videos made by athletic departments, It's gonna be great spending some of the McNeese St. tailgate watching this game. Has anyone ever seen a Nebraska fan genuinely pissed off before?
