Injuries were the big story of the Men's game at UVA. The Cavs were without their leading scorer and we were without Storm Warren who injured his Achilles in practice Friday and Ralson Turner who injured his foot late in the game. LSU was out-rebounded, outscored from both the FT line and beyond the arc, and had 12 turnovers on the way to a 64-50 loss. We exit non-conf play at 8-7 and will open the SEC slate on the road at Auburn Saturday afternoon. Highlights after the break

The Ladies opened SEC play in the PMAC against Tennessee and fell 73-65, thanks to lights out FT shooting by the Vols and despite a late LSU rally. The Ladies are at South Carolina Thursday night. Highlights also after the break.

The Advoc's got their Keys to Victory for the Cotton Bowl up and are keeping an eye on rumors that Chavis is a candidate for Texas and that Crowton is not headed for Texas State. Those looking for a home for everybody's favorite OC should keep an eye on the newly open HC jobs at UConn and Pitt (Yes, Pitt again). And be prepared to hear OMGMILESTOMICHIGANCONFIRMED!!!11!!! again over the next few weeks as the Wolverines do some soul searching.

Entering Conference play, the SEC is Kentucky's to lose.

Relish the conference DOMINATION my friends as the B1G had it's worst New Years Day ever (pay no attention to lose CUSA and ACC losses in the corner)

Interesting story in the Times-Pic from and A&M grad about the bonfire tradition and it's tragic end.

Despite what I thought earlier, Pat Summerall is not calling the Cotton Bowl. Instead it will be called by Kenny Albert and Daryl Johnston with Summerall listed as an "essayist".

Speaking of announcers, Ron Franklin's days at ESPN are probably over.
