Tiger Talk from last week with Yvette Girouard and Paul Mainieri

Saturday's loss by 24 points to Bama not only put us under .500 for the season, it also marked the first time LSU has lost 4 straight games by 20+ points EVER. And frankly, if it weren't for Auburn, we would be far and away the worst team in the conference. We've got SCar at home on Wednesday night. If Auburn can beat'em....

Meanwhile, after apologizing to everyone who ever thought about buying a ticket to a women's basketball game for the disaster against Arkansas last week, the Lady Tigers came out and held #20 UGA to their lowest point total ever in an SEC game, winning 47-41. They head to Vandy on Thursday night.

Plenty of recruiting coverage coming this week as signing day approaches. The Advoc's got their annual list of the top 12 BR area players. We've also got the latest episode of Bayou Bengals Insider TV after the break, featuring DL coach Brick Haley and Lutcher WR commit Jarvis Landry.

BIG weekend for Baseball stories after the first practice. The Advoc talked to Alex Edward and Mason Katz about the transition from being late season subs to presumed Day 1 starters.  They've also got more on Spencer Ware being a dual-sport guy, with Mainieri planning to use him at every available opportunity. Best quote of the weekend came from Mason Katz on playing with the new BBCOR bats:

"I don't think it's going to be too big a deal. It's a different feel than last year. That's the good thing about baseball. It's the same I've got to go up there with a broomstick or a metal bat and beat the pitcher either way. We really can't make excuses. We've got to go up there and win."

The Daily Rev has a great piece on "oreo of explosion" Danny Graff's chances in the NFL.

I had forgotten that the Superdome was getting a serious remodel this off-season, just in time for next year's title game.
