GAMETHREAD: LSU v. McNeese St., 6:30pm

Believe it or not, this is McNeese St.'s new logo

McNeese St. (13-12, 4-5 Southland), has had a decent start to conference play, dropping a sweep to TxA&M-CC last weekend but winning at SELA and against Northwestern St. They've got some good mid-week non-conf wins already, splitting 2 game series with Arkansas and Houston. Comparing the stats, LSU is hitting and slugging better than the Cowboys, as you would expect, but both teams have the same .960 fielding percentage and nearly the same amount of errors. Main threats at the plate are OF Seth Granger(.390BA 41H 16R 29RBI 1HR 20K)  and SS Jace Peterson (.347BA 35H 35R 6 Triples 18RBI 1HR 13K) who is in a 3 way tie nationally for most runs scored at 35.

LSU will be hoping the lineup changes make an immediate impact that can carry over into the weekend. I'll update whent he starting line is out, but we know Alex Edward is going into left, Mike Lowery or Grant Dozar will be at 1B, and the top of the order is going to get shuffled a bit. Forrest Garrett  gets the start, but it will be very brief, followed by Tyler Jones trying to get back into the groove. He hasn't had a great outing in a while and could be at risk of falling further in the depth chart if he can't turn it around.

It's been 17 days since we won a home game. That needs to be fixed tonight.

The rain has passed, but it's still a cold, soggy, overcast day. The field will be in good shape, but I suspect only the diehards will see this one in person. Also: BASEBALL CARD NIGHT #2

No TV, but since it's a home game the GeauxZone will have video
