North Texas

Last Tuesday's huge win over UL-L put the Mean Green back into the Sun Belt race. UL-M likely has the league on lockdown, but Dan McCarney's squad has a shot to make things a bit interesting.

It seems that the patience has worn out over at UW Dawg Pound, where they have declared the beginning of the end of the Steve Sarkisian Era with Saturday's 54-17 loss to Arizona.

Say it ain't so Idaho! The Vandals are no longer the men of Akey, firing their immensely likable head coach. Offensive coordinator and former Washington State star QB Jason Gesser will take over as the interim head coach in Moscow.

The long nightmare on the plains continues, and Auburn fans are officially staring down 3-9. In the piling on department, tight end Philip Lutzenkirchen will never don the Auburn orange and blue again. On another sad note, head coach Gene Chizik is currently mourning the loss of his mother, who passed away Monday morning.

Towson fell to 3-4 and 2-2 in the Colonial Athletic Association with a 31-20 loss to Old Dominion. Running back Terrance West didn't play on Saturday, held out after some "family issues," but there might be more to that story, if some recent twitter activity is to be believed.

Rightfully basking in the glow of a huge win over South Carolina Saturday. Florida's offense might not have been as productive as the ideal, but OC Brent Pease is still finding interesting ways to get things moving.

South Carolina

The Garnet and Black had it pretty rough in Gainesville, handing Florida a 15-point halftime lead despite holding them to all of 29 yards of offense. The East title is likely out of reach now, but another 11-win season is a goal South Carolina can still hold on to.

Texas A&M

Also rightfully, the boys at Good Bull Hunting are bemoaning missed opportunities, and you can't really blame them.

Freshman wide receiver Amari Cooper netted SEC frosh of the week honors with 162 yards in the Tide's blowout win at Tennessee. More and more, the Tide are letting quarterback A.J. McCarron lead the way for their offense.

Mississippi State

7-0 for the first time in who knows how long, State is somehow a 24-point dog this week at Alabama. Running back Laderius Perkins is currently the SEC's leading rusher.

Ole Miss

Red Cup Rebellion spent their bye week gettin' a might chesty in their SEC Power Poll ballot.

Over at Arkansas Expats, they spent the bye week looking at some videos of some potential head coaching candidates.
