Cowboy Diamond
Quick and Dirty on a busy night. We whupped McNeese at home last week pretty easily, but the 5 game weeks always have their challenges, and ours will be a vastly depleted bullpen in a hostile atmosphere. On top of last night's used pitchers and the weekend starters not being available, Goody, Bourgeois, (along with INF Sciambra and Slaid) are all out with the flu tonight. So tonight's available pitchers are Nola, Bonvillain, Reed, and *looks down bench* an old bucket of 10-K. Hopefully things don't get out of hand. If they do, Mainieri will have to get creative with the weekend guys. Shouldn't be too hard though, McNeese is 2-5 and playing in only their 2nd home game of the year. Through the first few games their BA has dropped to .269 and their ERA has risen to 5.46. Of course history is not on our side...
The largest crowd ever to see the Cowboys was when LSU came to town in 2000, and 2,191 Cowboy faithful packed Cowboy Diamond to witness the Cowboys knock off the nationally-ranked Tigers 9-8 in 11 innings.
Weather is clear and warm for February, radio only (and no GZ video because it's a road game)
Nola is starting for LSU, no McNeese starter released yet.
